I was still nursing a head cold and not feeling the greatest on Saturday so I did splurge and get a latte from Second Cup along with some Coconut Logs from The Winter Market (The Old Dublin Bakery). The cookies were gluten free and homemade so, other than the sugar, they weren't too bad. The latte did have the crappy bottled sugar syrup but I only get half the sugar and I went with lactose free milk as they were out of almond milk. I try to avoid soy altogether and have been avoiding dairy, but can't do black coffee anymore. It wasn't perfect, as I said, but I am happy with it. It was a little splurge without going completely psycho.
Had lots of great, healthy meals and snacks over the weekend. Dinner last night was grilled pork chop (marinated in mushroom & sage olive oil and red apple balsamic vinegar from O'Leva) with homemade sweet potato fries and fresh local bok choy (from Olivers Farm). Dinner tonight was seared tuna steak with mixed veggies.
