Breakfast today was a smoothie. There were limited choices here this morning so I decided to make a Raspberry Cocoa Smoothie; my own creation :) It was pretty good but I found it a little too rich for breakfast :)
We are back from our mini vacation to Toronto and I am now trying to get back on track. It can be difficult to eat healthy, especially during the summer. The weather is nice and there are lots of BBQ's, restaurants, and family and friend get-togethers. I am back to real food, hopefully something lie an 80%-20%, 80% real food and only 20% of not the greatest choices. Breakfast today was a smoothie. There were limited choices here this morning so I decided to make a Raspberry Cocoa Smoothie; my own creation :) It was pretty good but I found it a little too rich for breakfast :) Lunch today was some leftover Chili, from the freezer. It is great to have freezer meals available. When you cook a meal I recommend making extra portions to freeze to have for lunches or to eat on those days when you may not want to cook. Dinner tonight was a new recipe: Cranberry Chicken. I had high hopes for this meal. It was a freezer meal made earlier and meant to be taken out and put in the slow cooker for a quick and easy dinner. I love that concept. I decided to pull the previously made bag dinner out of the freezer and have it for tonight's dinner. It was not good. I couldn't eat very much of it and Hubby didn't eat it at all. I didn't like the combination of flavors; I found it very tart and just odd. I am disappointed when a recipe doesn't turn out well. Not only did we not eat dinner yet tonight but now all these ingredients are wasted :(
