Tonight we made Bruschetta Chicken. A recipe I found this year and have made only a couple of times before. It's good and simple. As a side we tried black rice. Heard of this rice recently and found it at Real Food Market. It was pretty nice. The rice is black in colour but when it cooks it has a deep purple tinge. It tastes like brown rice to me but Hubby thinks it's more like quinoa. Overall we liked it and will use it again :)
I always say when you are trying to eat better one of the biggest downfalls people have is thinking their food is boring or bland. It doesn't have to be. It is easy to fall into a rut and eat the same things over and over again. Things that are tried and true, family favorites, and all things familiar. Don't be afraid to get outside your comfort zone and try new foods and new recipes. You don't need to experiment everyday but maybe try something new once a week or so.
