Breakfast was a smoothie with fruit, matcha tea, coconut water, nuts and almond butter. Then I had a little Paleo Granola with milk and a cup of tea. Lunch was a freezer meal of Seafood Chowder since we had no leftovers. Diner tonight ended up being Roasted Chicken (from the grocery store) and a baked potato with butter. The meal plan had chicken stew for tonight but I got tied up running errands and didn't have time to cook after.

Had a good day today but had major cravings. Didn't give in but really wanted to go out and just indulge in take out and dessert. Perhaps the greasy take-out yesterday made the cravings worse today. Hubby cooked breakfast and dinner today :) Breakfast was hash-browns, scrambled eggs and organic sausage. The sausage we found at Real Food Market and has no added chemicals or refined sugar :) Yay! I also had a chai tea. Snack today was a Larabar and some nuts while out running errands. Lunch was a couple of slices of whole grain toast with almond butter. Dinner tonight was pork chops done with Smoky Tea-Aki seasoning, garlic mashed potatoes and corn. It was all delicious. It's Valentine's Day and I've been naughty :) Not as naughty as I could have been but sometimes you need a little food splurge :)
Breakfast was good. Cooked by Hubby and all real food. Homemade bacon, homemade hash-browns, fried eggs and a couple cups of tea :) Lunch/supper was fish and chips from The Duke. One of the best fish and chips :) Not 100% real food but not too bad; and it was delicious. Topped with gravy & tartar sauce, and a pint of Rickard's White with it. Yummy and happy Valentine's day everyone :) A pretty good day today.
Breakfast was Paleo Granola with milk. Lunch was leftover Shepherd's Pie from the other day. Still delicious. Snack today was some of my Valentine chocolate from my kiddies in preschool. I ate a good few and then started to feel odd; almost hungover afterwards. Dinner tonight was Bison Burgers with homemade fries. Hubby cooked it all while I sipped a few beer :) I find a burger with a bun just too much food for me so I often opt for no bun. Hubby bought multi-grain buns for his. I had spinach, tomato, sun-dried tomato, and cheddar on my burger. It was absolutely delicious and maybe even more so after Hubby cooked it all, cleaned the dishes and I had a few drinks while waiting :) It turned out to be a snow day here today. So, being housebound I had a productive day preparing for upcoming preschool classes. Breakfast was Paleo Granola with extra almonds and coconut. I also had a tea. Lunch was egg in a hole :) I fried up eggs in bread in a frying pan with butter. This is fav from my childhood :) I also had a glass of milk. For dinner I really wanted a soup or stew but had no plans to make this so didn't really have the ingredients on hand. With the grocery stores closed, and not wanting to venture out anyways, I was lucky to find some frozen Beef Stew containers in the freezer. Yay! Stew it is. Nothing like a good hearty stew on a blustery, snowy day. Had a bowl of stew with some whole grain toast and butter. Our last Valentine party for preschool was today, therefore the last of the cupcakes. Yay! They were delicious but need to stop eating a cupcake a day for the last 3 days. Nevertheless, the rest of my day followed the real food guidelines 100%. Breakfast was whole grain toast with butter and a cup of tea with maple syrup and cream. Snack was some apple with the kids in preschool, and a cupcake as already mentioned above :( I can be weak when they are there in front of me and there's an extra one just for me :) Lunch was leftover Pulled Pork on a baked potato. Very yummy. Second snack was some homemade ice cream in the new blender. Had some guests drop by (Mom and 2 of my nephews) and the boys wanted ice cream. It was all real food though (frozen fruit, milk & maple syrup). Dinner tonight was Shepherd's Pie made with ground chicken so Hubby would eat it as well (he just can't do ground beef). This is still one of my favorite meals :) Another good day but starting to think the Valentine parties in preschool will be the death of me with the party cupcakes. Breakfast was Paleo Granola with extra coconut and almonds; topped with milk. Also had a tea. Snack today was a mini cupcake at our preschool Valentine party; it was a mini muffin :) Lunch was some Pulled Pork on a slice of whole grain bread. This pork recipe is amazing. Made this Monday to bring down for my Brother's birthday yesterday but ended up eating Mom's cooked dinner instead. So now have pork leftovers :) Dinner was simply pasta and sauce. Cooked whole grain pasta, heated marinara sauce (all real food ingredients) and topped with Parmesan cheese. Easy and good. A pretty good day overall food-wise.
Breakfast was Paleo Granola with extra almonds, coconut and milk. I also had a tea. Snack was some apple with the kiddies and 1 cupcake from our party snack (Valentine party). I caved. Lunch was leftover fish and veggies from last night. I have to say I really enjoyed the Hoki. It was great even as leftovers. The caper sauce (recipe from the box, pretty much just capers and butter) works very well with it too. Dinner tonight was a cooked chicken dinner at my parents for my brother's birthday. Mom cooked a traditional Sunday dinner with roast chicken (and pork), salt meat, dressing and gravy. I had everything except gravy and dressing because they have white flour and other added ingredients. I simply added butter to my potatoes and it was great. I made the birthday cake and used Strawberry Jam in the center and topped it with whipped cream. I couldn't find any 1-ingredient cream this week so I had to use regular grocery store cream which has carrageenan and dextrose :( Very irritating. Topped the cake with toasted coconut and homemade chocolate. Another good day. Hubby cooked breakfast this morning. Had scrambled eggs and homemade hash-browns. I also had two cups of tea :) Lunch was whole grain toast with butter and then I had my green smoothie (coconut water, frozen fruit, matcha tea, & spinach) For dinner tonight we tried a new fish; Hoki. Never heard of it before but saw it at the grocery store today and picked it up. Hubby pan-fried it and made a butter caper sauce (recipe on the box). We had it with steamed broccoli and carrots. It was a really nice fish. Very mild and similar to cod. The butter caper sauce worked well with it too. Salty and buttery; similar to scrunchions :)
Had a great day. What's better than beer and BBQ for dinner, in winter, with Hubby cooking and doing dishes? Nothing, that's what. Dinner was grilled (local and grass-fed) beef (bought at Real Food Market), grilled asparagus, grilled tomato with spices and Parmesan cheese, and baked potatoes with butter. Also had a couple of beer with and before dinner :) So nice not having to cook or clean up :) Thanks Hun :) The rest of the day was good as well. Paleo Granola with milk for breakfast. I find this granola pretty sweet with all the dates in it so I added extra raw almonds and toasted coconut to my bowl. Lunch was leftover Chicken Soup from last night. |
