Also, today we started a 30 day Green Smoothie Challenge. Just something I wanted to do to eat more greens and fruit. It was a free challenge and once signed up you get weekly recipes and grocery lists. It started July 1st but we started today. Today we tried the Citrus Breeze (spinach, water, oranges, mango, pineapple & banana), it was good but won't be a favorite of mine. Each week you get 5 recipes for the week. Tomorrow we will try the Coco-Cherry Berry Cooler (kale, coconut milk, blueberries, & cherries; but subbing the cherries for mixed berries). Have Hubby doing this with me. I plan to make the smoothies the night before so he can take it to work; hoping they hold up pretty well.
A busy afternoon today. Making food for the week. One of the biggest problems with trying to eat healthy and real-food is the extra work and planning it requires. I made a batch of grain-free granola for breakfasts for the week. I also made a batch of Chocolate Muffins to have for snacks.
