Day 47 - A Blah Sort of Day

20/2/2014

Having a little bit of a blah day today. One of those days where you feel you should be productive and doing something but then you end up doing very little. Also finding myself having cravings lately. The last couple of days I've been craving chocolate and chips. A part of me just wants to have a binge or a splurge day. We are almost half way in our 100 day challenge and I really want to see it to the end. I hope it will pass because we are doing really well. It's the longest I've stuck with any plan or diet in several years. It does get difficult though and sometimes you do just want to say forget it and order take out or get the junk food. I'm getting tired of all the cooking, planning, prepping, and cleaning, sigh. Ok, that's my rant for the day. Now on with my day because even though I did feel a little down and had cravings and ideas of chocolate and chips dancing in my head I still stayed on track; although I did eat quite a bit of homemade coconut chocolate today.

Another stormy day today, a lot of rain and freezing rain. Had to postpone preschool until tomorrow again. I will be very happy when it's spring :)

Started this morning with plain Greek yogurt, blueberry jam, blueberries, toasted coconut and roasted almonds; along with a morning decaf coffee.

Lunch today was the left over mushroom soup from last night. It was really good. I ended up eating a second bowl for dinner last night. Not a favorite of Hubby's as I expected but I really liked it.

Snack today was a little larger than usual. I guess after a smaller breakfast of yogurt and only soup for lunch today I was finding myself a bit hungry, therefore I fried up an egg in the hole along with a glass of milk.

Dinner tonight was salsa chicken with brown rice and corn. An easy and simple meal. I simply pour a jar of salsa onto 3 or 4 chicken breasts and bake until chicken is cooked.

My name is Michelle and I am tired of struggling with my weight. I am stopping the struggle.
This blog began several years ago as a healthy lifestyle change (really, diets in disguise if I'm being totally honest). Now it is evolving into a non-diet blog and that makes me extremely happy.
I have recently started this new way of thinking. There have been some bumps in the road, it hasn't been easy, I still question, but I am still learning.
If you struggle with weight and have issues with food and body image than join me on my journey. Hopefully we can learn together :)
