My blood work was odd. According to my doctor (what I took away from it) I have extremely high indicators for inflammation but my arthritis indicator was negative. Very puzzling. Due to reading I have been doing in the past year I have started to think that inflammation is a problem for me but not sure what's causing it. The main culprits seem to be processed sugars and flours along with highly processed foods which I already don't eat or minimally eat. We eat pretty well so not sure where to go from here. I am awaiting more tests to see if we can get some answers but until then I will try the grain & milk free idea again for a couple of weeks and see if there's something to it. I plan to stick to real food options but eliminate all grains and cows milk, while limiting other dairy. I did try this a week or two ago but only did a few days. I didn't really give it enough time and now I am feeling even worse so need to try something. I will try this and see if I feel better and use it as a guide. I am tracking all symptoms daily and we shall see. I did do a 10 Day Detox diet a few months back, similar to this, but much more strict; and I felt much better but didn't track anything. Although many people think the Wheat Free idea is a fad and not based on good science; if it makes me feel better I am in.
At this point I am open to ideas. If this doesn't work I may have to try a full elimination diet to see which foods may be possible triggers for me and causing my body to react this way. No point in starting that now as you need to follow it exactly for weeks/months, and I am on vacation in a couple of weeks. Just want to feel better and have a good time on my trip. Then, when I am back I need to get hard core with this inflammation issue.
