My focus is still on which foods I eat as my inflammation is still really high and often affected by certain foods. It seems I have really high calcium and this affects other minerals and their absorption. I have been having low magnesium related problems for years and started taking a magnesium supplement and using Epsom salts a lot; but it hasn't been helping enough. It seems when your calcium is really high you don't absorb other minerals you need as effectively; like magnesium. I won't get into all my results here but I am more hopeful now. Funny though, my sodium was a little low; not very often you are told to eat a little more salt :)
I feel much more motivated now that I have some results back and have been given some direction and advice. Had a great day today food-wise but still feeling pretty bad health-wise. My knees have been really bad recently and my calves have been very tight and knotted lately. Climbing stairs has become a chore.
Smoothie and a boiled egg for breakfast. Need to eat lots of protein throughout the day and get in more greens, ginger, and other anti-inflammatory foods. The smoothie had spinach, coconut water, almond butter, avocado, cherries, apple, and ginger. It tasted good and was pretty filling along with the egg. Lunch was leftover prime rib (from last night) along with roasted broccoli and steamed carrots. One snack today was a banana; the only snack so far. I am also drinking some organic apple cider vinegar in hot water with a little honey before dinner to help with digestion. Dinner tonight was baked mahi mahi with an excellent salsa. I made a new recipe: Avocado Pineapple Salsa; this salsa was fantastic :) Had it with roasted asparagus; delicious.
