So I went completely overboard during the holidays. My mind set went to the last supper but it evolved into the last supper for every meal for everyday for weeks. Not good and I am paying for it. Back to feeling extremely ill. Major stomach issues including bad IBS symptoms daily, feeling exhausted daily, not sleeping well, overall unwell feeling, weight gain, major cravings, skin breakouts, dry and itchy skin, allergies acting up, mood swings, getting sick more often, etc... All of these can be related to what I have been eating lately. I actually didn't realize how much better I felt overall when eating a real food diet until I went completely off the wagon. You tend to quickly forget how badly you felt in the past from eating crappy processed foods and tons of white sugar and white flour. Or you down play it and think you didn't feel that bad after all. Now I remember. I now feel horrible almost constantly. Starting Monday (always have to start a diet on a Monday right?), we are back on the real food challenge we started last January. We will do an 80 day challenge due to vacation plans, but it will be back to 100% real food like before; no modifications. That's what worked well for both of us. Now it's just getting back into the routines and start feeling better.
