The eggs were soft and gooey, just the way I like them for a Benny. The ham was thinly sliced and tasty; it seems they cure their own ham. Who knew, but good to know. It came served on a homemade tea biscuit instead of the more traditional English muffin. The tea biscuit was fantastic. So tasty and crumbly with just a hint of sweetness. It all went together perfectly. The meal came served on a wooden tray which looked really nice but I didn't want to lose any of my gooey egg goodness into the wood so I asked for a side plate to eat my Eggs Benny from. Yes, I am that special kind of crazy :) lol
Hubby ordered the Ham Panini sandwich with hash-browns. The hash-browns are not deep-fried there, and although they are pan-fried they were not even greasy. He said it was delicious as well. The serving size was a little small but what it lacked in size it made up for in taste. Hubby's comment was quality over quantity. He said every bite was fantastic.
We always love the food and service when we go to Tavola but for some reason we don't seem to go too often. Will have to change that :) Hubby is already talking about All-you-can-eat Spaghetti and meatballs on Wednesday. He is a sucker for homemade pasta :)
