Thanksgiving Weekend

Today was a pretty bad day food-wise but I am still going to blog what I ate. Don't get me wrong; the food was good but did not follow my real food guidelines very well. This is Thanksgiving weekend but I do not have turkey on the menu. I had my cooked turkey dinner last weekend at my Mom's for my birthday.

No breakfast today; was still pretty full after the meal last night :) Brunch today was at Blue on Water. I had an excellent omelet with mushrooms, onion jam and greens. It was very tasty and good real-food wise. It could have used more onion jam and greens though :) The greens is the 3 or 4 pieces of rocket you see here. It came with hash browns which looked and tasted like baked potatoes instead of deep-fried, so that was good. I opted for the whole wheat toast but doubt it was 100% whole wheat. I also added blueberry jam to the toast, not real food, and bacon. I ate all the omelet but left some bacon, potato and toast. Also had a coffee and an orange juice.

Dinner tonight was cake. Yup, you read that right. I had a homemade Toffee Crunch Latte and a piece of cake from Bistro Sophia. They have the best desserts. I often leave a restaurant after dinner and go here to get my dessert. I tried a new one tonight, a chocolate, crepe and banana layered cake. It was good but the German Chocolate or the Bistro Sophia cakes are my favorites. They also do a wicked cheesecake :)
