Overall we are both down this month. I lost half a pound this week, putting me at 6.4 pounds gone in 4 weeks :) Hubby gained a little this week but he does have 3.2 pounds gone since we started :) These results are great and we are also trying not to get to tied up with the numbers on the scale; as long as we are eating better and feeling better, that's the

We are 4 weeks into our 100 day challenge and still going strong. We ended up out tonight with friends and still stayed on track :) Woohoo! Breakfast this morning was cooked by Hubby. We had scrambled eggs with homemade hash browns (potato with green pepper and onions) and "bacon". We haven't had any bacon in the last 4 weeks because I can't find any nitrate free bacon that doesn't have added sugar. Bacon is allowed as long as it's natural and doesn't have added white sugar. That is very difficult to find here in Newfoundland. Today we had fresh pork belly, cut in strips and fried crispy with salt and pepper. We are onto something here. I thank Natasha for this find :) We plan to buy it again but soak it overnight in some salt water and maple syrup, then fry it. I'll let you know the results :) I also had my morning coffee. Snack today was Larabars. We went for groceries and I ended up buying Larabars and eating two before we got home. Lunch was leftover tacos from last night's dinner; they were delicious again. Dinner tonight was Chicken Fried Rice. I made it before we went out with friends for the evening. We went to a comedy show at Yuk Yuk's which was excellent. We drank a few beer while out but didn't order any food because nothing fit into our rules for the 100 day challenge. Afterwards, we all came back here for a drink. I made popcorn with butter and salt, and put out rye crackers with some cheeses. Snacks everyone could enjoy and didn't break our 100 day real food rules. |
